To Homeschool or not

We had been thinking about homeschooling our children for a while. I first starting thinking about "homeschool" when I was just thinking I might like to write and organize lessons and activities. I have actually been doing this since Zebbie was born, 11 years ago.

But as we went through the school year, we thought more and more that it might be a good idea for our family. At times I was actually afraid of doing it and other times I was very excited at the thought of having my kids home we me all of the time.

We looked into what we had to do legally, we checked out lots of books from the library, and we talked to our children about it. And finally we had decided that it was something we wanted to do. So the next thing to do was to get everything ready. We bought a book that we really liked and are using it as a guide. The book is called "Home Learning Year by Year" by Rebecca Rupp. We also bought a couple of workbooks for the kids.

And we decided to start to start school on July 3, 2009.
